Our First DT Presentation

I'm SO EXCITED to present you with the Design Teams work.  (I know the fireworks were awesome but since I couldn't turn off the sound I knew it would get old after a while.)

Prima Rebellious
Prima Pearl Swirl (on order)
American Craft Thicker Rainboots

Prima Crystal Swirl (on order)
Other Supplies:
Ribbon (Prima & Vintage 1920's hand dyed silk);    Stamps (Unity Stamp Company);
Ink (Ranger & Colorbox);     Letters (October Afternoon & American Crafts);
Cardstock (Bazzill);    Buttons (Stash);      Brads (Heidi Swapp);
Thread (Coats & Clarks);          Chalk (Pebbles)

I love 12x12 die cut papers.  They always make some of the best using them whole or cutting them up.  The FP Kraft line makes the perfect background.  The double border left a natural place for journaling.  Using the FP die cut bird with pop dots added subtle depth.  I had some Unity Stamps that were a perfect match for the trees on the paper.  I just stamped on Bazzill Kraft with Ranger ink & colored in with my very neglected chalk collection.  I thought the addition of the MME frame balanced out the color by bringing in more of the blue that was found in the birds wing.

Other Supplies:  (I guess I need to check the website as I'm going thru my stash to decide what to use because I thougth I had bought the Maya Road Flowers from you -- can't remember where else they came from lol)
Flowers (Maya Road); Brads & Eyelets (Heidi Swapp); Rik Rak (Target $spot);

These types of background papers are so fun & really do a lot of the work for you as far as design.  I've found you have to be careful not to overdo it.  Cutting out part of the images to tuck things behind really adds depth & interest to an otherwise flat page.  The FP Journaling Book is fantastic & is so worth the money for anyone who loves the torn notebook page looks.  The colors & designs will be able to go with many different themes & lines of papers.

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
