So have you been creative lately? I know the end of May & beginning of June are 2nd only to Christmas in how busy life can get... right? But if you are like me it helps to sneak in a bit of scrapping time. Not only does it help preserve the memories that have been happening before they fade but it also is an outlet to de-stress & center yourself. It's a chance to breath & relax.
I know you expected our usual blog hop since it's the 14th. But to keep you on your toes we're changing things up a bit... Teresa will be sharing inspiration today & I will post my projects on Wednesday. So make sure you check back.
Before I send you to Teresa's blog I want to let you know that another shipment of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist has just arrived in the ES store & as usual they are on sale (who else puts their newest products on sale the first week... Thanks Heather!). I even see some of those gorgeous Heidi Swapp colors. Click here to shop all the new products.
Challenge FYI:
Are you saving your red/white/blue scraps for the June challenge? If you don't have any the new Pink Paislee will be perfect for the challenge & is in stock at ES.
Ok now let's see what Teresa has created to inspire us & remember to take some time to be creative

Spotlight on Pink Paislee and Rusty Pickle
Pink Paislee's Amber Road
This is one of my all time absolute favorite lines of scrapbooking papers. You can get all of it in the store, just click on the shop by line and choose Amber Road or just click the link.
I found this metal sign and it was screaming at me to alter it, as soon as I saw this new paper line from Pink Paislee I knew I would use it to alter this sign. I have a container of all white Prima flowers, perfect for using Glimmer Mist on them, so I colored 6 flowers, let me know what you think.

Products used: Pink Paislee Amber Road - Apple Cider, Autumn Blossom, Bonfire, Harvest Hayride, Bella Brads, Borderline Stickers, & Punchouts, Prima Lace, Prima flowers, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Marshmallow, Caramel Apple, Burnt Red, & Olive Vine.
Rusty Pickle's Panama Jack
I wanted to make a quick card for someone going on an island trip. This Panama Jack line was perfect for such a card. It's a multi fold card, looks more difficult than it actually is, and I've made several of these cards this weekend. It's called a Tri-Shutter Card, please click the link for the tutorial.

Products used: Rusty Pickle Panama Jack: Blue Hawaii, Tequila Sunrise, Tropical Hangover, Cardstock Coupons, & Stickers

Sassafras & Tattered Angels!!
I love this line from Sassafras & I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new glimmer screens from Tattered Angels! Glimmer Mist is one of my favs right now, I am using it on every project!!! Using glimmer mist with glimmer screens is REALLY easy and makes really beautiful designs!
Here is what I have been doing:

Maya Road Mini Album "US"
I made this album about my brother and I when we were toddlers :)

One if the pages inside the album
*******

"love you..."
picture of my mom, my brother and me.
I love this bird glimmer screen by Tattered Angels sooooo much,
I kept the page
simple so that the bird would be a feature on the page.

"Read"
Also featuring the Sassafras Woodland Whimsy paper line.
This is a picture of my mom reading a book to me when I was little.
This paper line reminds me of my childhood, so I have been scrapping
a lot of my baby pictures with it.
I used the Glimmer Screens and the Mist to make the scroll
designs on the paper.

I used Sassafras Paper,
Thanks for looking- stop by the store to get all the items I shared with you!
Happy Weekend :)

Fun With Graphic 45 Communique & Glimmer Mist!!
This Graphic 45 Communique line is FABULOUS!

I am having so much fun scrapping with this GORGEOUS vintage inspired paper, it is right up my "style" alley! I have paired this paper line up with some fun Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. If you haven't tried GM yet, you need to get a bottle from the Everything Scrappn' Store and try some! It is a sprayable paint that has a glittery sheen. You can use it in so many different ways! I will show you some of the ways that I have been using it below:
"Floyd's"
the flower I wanted to use for this page was not really the right
color, so I layered a couple colors of Glimmer Mist on top until
it looked right. (the picture is me peeling back a petal to show
the original color)

this picture shows a close up of how I used the Tattered
Angel's "misting tool" like a stencil. I laid the tool on top
of the paper, then sprayed a couple layers of glimmer mist.
When I removed the tool, there is a reverse-stencil pattern
of a scrolled corner was left on the paper.

Scrapbooking Recipes
With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.
Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:
1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
Do you have a quick recipe? email me hgturner@everythingscrappn.com
