It's True...I Was Made For You

So do you ever buy just ONE sheet of an awesome double sided paper and wish you had gotten 2? This was the case with this particular paper. I wanted to utilize both sides, so this was my solution. I cut out a heart and simply reversed it so I could see both sides of the paper. I folded one side of the heart down and used a contrasting cardstock so I could journal a bit. Then in the empty heart spot, I used a page from a vintage german storybook I found at our thrift store for 25 cents! I have no idea what it says, I just love the little birdie illustration at the bottom.

Since the photo was taken at Sea World in San Antonio, I used a whale chipboard covered in turquoise Stickles. Then I used a KI Memories Softies Black Corner to imitate the spray coming out of his blow hole. I have a small collection of vintage stuff (b/c really, that's what it is, just "stuff."). Recently I acquired these taxi cab coupons which I used on the layout.

Using those CHA goodies

Hi Everyone!! Heather asked me to help her out while she's out of town and well if you know me you know I can't wait...lol She's not even gone yet, but here I am posting away!!

I love using the stickles to outline things, as you can see I've used them on the prima sprites to give them some extra dimension. Also, I've outlined some of the stars on the KI Lace paper. Head on over to the store there are a lot of new items in stock that I'll be scooping up soon!

Have a Great Weekend!!

Paints are in.

The paints that I ordered from Ranger came in today.  I got in the new colors from Stickles and some of there previously released colors.  I ordered the Liquid Pears in the new and some previously released colors.  Lastly I got the crackle paint by Tim Holtz.  I can't believe that he compounded the crackle look into one step in one bottle and it comes with a brush.  I can't wait to get my hands on one of these jars and give it a try.
If you are interested in the look of the stickles or the liquid pearls look at my previous post Prima CHA

Prima CHA

This is a project I did in a class (pics are not in order).  After, I went straight to their booth and bought the albums and papers! (The stickles and glaze pens too)  These acrylic albums come with a paper covering you peal off. These are scratch resistant and you can even use a Mr. Clean Eraser if you make a mistake (not to many but one or two).  They don't come all mixed up like this but this was to show that the holes line up on all Prima's albums so you can mix and match.  Some are chipboard and some are acrylic.  In this blog I'm missing a couple of pics.  Sorry I'll add them tomorrow or something.

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
