Happy Halloween/Fall

Well today is the day that little children get to get all dolled up in cute costumes and go door to door. You will also need to scrap these moments. We have some super cute papers, ribbons, and stickers wether you are more halloween or more fall. I've tried to put anything related to Halloween or fall in the seasonal category but look around. I noticed last night while packing an order that sassafrass has a paper that would be super cute in fall or halloween pages because of it's reverse.

New Line for November

I received an email from American Craft that I just love. They are calling it their teen line but it could be used for so much. I had so many people telling me they wanted bright colors and this line will fill all those needs. This should be in the store around the 17th of November.



These are all the papers in the line and I will be getting them all. American Craft had an offer for me I couldn't refuse. I will not be getting as many of each paper I normally get but I will be able to offer you all of these papers for one price. I won't have to have higher prices on the fancier papers. They will all be .69 ea (or less).



Oh now these are my favorites. Now I didn't order these in the box sets that American Craft is know for. I saw these ribbons as something all crafters could make use of and with that in mind I ordered rolls. You will be able to order only the ribbons you want in the amount that you want and I think it comes out cheaper in the end.



These are totally cute self adhesive buttons that they have to coordinate with this line. Fun Fun Fun. I had to get them in. You can use them in so many different ways. This is not all of the line but I do hope this has peaked your curiosity. There are also thickers and rub-ons that I will be getting to match as well. One last positive about this line is that it has mp3 players/iPods, and cell phones so this relates to our teens now and so much of the line can also be used for throw back pages or comparative pages. You know then and now your you vs your kids.

Cool Technique

As a scrapbooker I love finding new techniques to use on my pages that will allow me to have unique journaling or hidden pictures. I also love motion on my pages. As some of you know I homeschool my children, in checking my email today I found a lapbook (sort of a scrapbook for a subject) I wanted to do with my son and found several interactive pieces that I want to try in scrapbooking. I hope that you might try them too. If you do post your pictures in the comments. We'd love to see them.

I have crossed to the dark side!

When I opened my store I told myself and a few others that I would be staying away from all things Disney. I mean they can be bought on any corner anywhere! Well today I crossed over to the other side and ordered the update to a line by Creative Imaginations that will be shipping in November. I can't wait. It has a new look and a new feel. It is much more animated than in the past and is just truly Mickey.

I ordered the entire line because there was just so much cool stuff. There will be large card stock circles down to a center journaling circle. There are a couple of albums one is a chipboard album that each page is a larger size with great shapes to decorate. The next is a mini book that can be left alone and used to get autographs at Disney or used as a mini album. NOTE: Personally I would combine it. I would add pics when you get home of getting each of the characters autographs.]

This album is so much more than a bland autograph book! The last album is an 8 x 8 instant album. I've been to Disney with my three kids and let me tell you when I got home I was so thankful for some ready made stuff. I did an album for each child about their trip to Disney and I used a Creative Memories album and kit where all I had to do was paste what they had in the example! This album would be a great gift for Grandma or the kids who want a record of the even with out stressing your creativity.
Oh and did I mention the pages? There are ready made pages too. When I was doing my Disney album I know I would hit creative road blocks every so often where I felt like I had been doing the same thing forever. I would go and copy a boring simple layout and add some spice and my creativity would spike again. These pages will be so simple to place some pictures in add some journaling some ribbon or brads or even paint, slickers or stickles.

I'm so excited about this coming out. I will be going back to Disney with the kids in the spring and I will probable visit Disney Land when I am out in California for winter CHA. This will give me new stuff to play with! I am sorry that there are only the two pictures. As soon as I can get blogger to let me download the rest of them I will show you everything.

Changes

I can not believe that I just managed to make a banner for my blog!! Hope you like it. I guess now I will have to find more digi stuff to use or scan what I have. I never thought with this business I would have to come out of my computer illiteracy. I hoped that I could just cruise around knowing very little until I could drive my kids crazy with dumb questions.

I have had to do some html learning for this new challenge that I am bringing to you in just a few days. So I thought that I would try working on the blog as well. It worked after lots of resizing. I know that it is very very simple but I hope to get some digi images so that I can do a little more with it next time I change it.

YEAH!

October Newsletter

WOW I can't believe that it is already the 3rd of October. September went by like a flash and my October isn't slowing down any either. I hope that everyone is finding time to take those pictures and scrapbook them. There is so much in October to capture. Fall Festivals, Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Leaves Changing, Kids in costumes and this isn't all you should be shooting! Make sure you check out the store for anything you may need to document those pictures.
