Blog Hop, March 14th- Hop to all the Design Team Members' blogs revealing their new projects! Comment on each blog for a chance to win a Stickle Surprise of 3 random colors. I love Stickles! You can control them better than traditional glitter and glue. You can click here to see the wide array of colors that are in stock in the store.

"Spring Flowers, Showers, and Sunshine" Scrapping Contest, March 28th- Check out the blog and there will be a challenge posted by Design Team Member, Teresa. Participate in the challenge for a chance to win a Prima Artistry Flowers Mini Tin. This tin is filled with around 25 Prima flowers in different sizes. I love the ones with the news type print.

Teresa is giving our newsletter readers a little heads-up about the specifics of this contest. She says, "I am so excited to see Spring ring forth. I can't wait for sunny days, flowers, and gentle spring rains. This month's challenge is all about the coming Spring. You can create a layout or an altered piece. First, I want to see flowers, at least 3, but not plain or simple flowers. You can either create your own flowers (from fabric, paper, felt, etc. whatever you wish) or if you chose to use a Prima type flower, you need to alter it somehow to make it uniquely yours. Second, I want to see the color blue on your project. Something blue that will remind us of Spring rains that nourishes the soil. Last, you will need something yellow or gold to represent the warm Spring sunshine on your project. I can't wait to see what you create and hopefully Spring will join us all soon!"

Many of the Design Team Members will be showcasing Webster's Pages products in their sample creations for the March 28th contest. Here's a peek below of some of the many items by Webster's Pages that exhibit the blue and gold vibe of the upcoming Spring season. You can view the rest of the stock of Webster's Pages that Everything Scrappn' has to offer by clicking here.

March Guest Design Team Member Spotlight: Ilene Tell

Tell us about your children: I have two kids - a 5 year old girl and a boy who will be 1 on March 5th. I love being able to girl pages and boy pages. It gives me more of a chance to play with all the different product lines out there!

How long have you been scrapbooking? I started scrapbooking after my daughter was born. I had too many pictures that were far too adorable to stick in a shoebox somewhere. I took some breaks from it here and there, but I'm pretty obsessed at the moment.

Describe your scrapbooking style: I have a hard time defining it. I love to try new stuff and so many products I like are so different and drive me to try totally different pages. I do like a "shabby chic" look , a messy & layered look, vintage, distressed, fresh, funky, etc. I must say I have some sort of antipathy toward white space though, so maybe my style can be defined as anti-white space?! LOL!

What is something we will always see on your page? Patterned paper, of course! I also love bling, flowers, and all things cute, but patterned paper I truly can't live without. In fact, I have not thus far used plain cardstock! I did buy a few packs though, so I'll try in the future!

Tell us something about yourself: Ummm... don't think I'm crazy, but I have a button phobia. LOL! That is definitely one trend I never got into (due to my phobia) and one embellie you'll never see me use. In fact, I do not own a single piece of clothing that has a plastic button on it. Okay, fine, you can think I'm crazy.

I'm looking foward to seeing Ilene's creations! Congratulations on becoming our Guest Design Team Member of the Month! You can view Ilene's blog at http://whatabunchofscrap.blogspot.com/

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.

Do you have a quick recipe? email me hgturner@everythingscrappn.com
