Another DT & a Guest

Wow we made it through April! I will be announcing the winner of the BIG MME contest by Monday. Just trying to get all the entries in the pot.

Ok so I wanted to introduce you to another of our DT members.

Teresa Matz

Hi from the Southern Oregon Countryside. I am a wife of 11 years and a stay at home/homeschooling mom of 5 ages 10,9,7,6,6 (yep, twins). I started scrapping about 10 years ago, but just found the world of online scrappers about 2 years ago, thanks to my Best Friend and scrap buddy. When I scrap I love to get messy, I am not finished with a layout unless I have painted, inked or stickled something! I thrive on challenges, and can't get enough of them. I love to be pushed, stretched and really grow from a challenge. We just moved onto a farm, so lately my inspiration has come from my kids interacting with 4 legged creatures, and the amazing nature. I also garden, blog and read avidly. If I have any free time left over {insert laugh here}..... I love to quilt and make Jewelry. I am addicted to Pepsi and chocolate, and they are a must for scrapping, right alongside my stickles and edge distresser! In the last 2 years my art has grown and changed in amazing ways, and I have all the wonderful ladies that share their art online to thank for that.... Thanks for Sharing!

Questions:
How long have you been scrapping?
I have been scrapping for about 10 years, but just got into the online world of scrappers about 2yrs ago

Are your married, have kids, pets? I have been married for 11years, we have 5 kids that I homeschool. About a year ago we moved to the country and went from no pets to a mini farm. We have 3 dogs, 4 cats, a turtle, rabbits, chickens and turkeys.

What would you say your scrapping style is? Um, that's a hard one! My style has been evolving over the last 2 yrs, I couldn't put a "name" on it. I love bright colors, texture, and bling. I enjoy scrapping the most when I get to paint or distress something. I also love making my embellies, out of pattern paper, fabric and found objects.

Do you have a designer that inspires you? Oh there are so many great ladies! I often look to Patter Cross, Jenni Bowlin and Ali Edwards for inspiration. I love just blog hoping, not to the big name designers, but everday scrappers blogs to find inspiration.

Give us some randomness about you…… I have NEVER scrapped the color purple. But I have seen some new products that are coming out that might change this!

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
