November Challenge

I have actually had a chance to scrap a little here lately. One of the projects I jump to when I get stuck or want something a little more simple I work on my photo a day album. Now this album is from 2007 but I think that makes me realize how glad I am I did the photo a day challenge. There are things I took pictures of in 2007 that I would never have photographed and now we don't have anymore.

Here is the challenge:

* Take at least One photograph every day of the month of November.
* Your pictures can not be of your kids or pets every day. For this challenge lets limit it to one of each for the month. (if you have lots of kids don't take one of each of them for a day to clear out a week - think outside that box)
* Try to scrap these picture at least each week. Make an album of it (mini or store bought are great). For the contest there has to be at least a page per week containing all that weeks pictures.

Off to the side are some of the pages I've made recently that made me so glad I did the photo a day.
Photo 1 - This is of a blanket. I no longer have this great blanket. It had to be retired due to age and large dogs.
Photo 2 - My new sewing machine (in 07) that had just been taken out of the box and placed in my scrap area
Photo 3 - My scraproom in 2007. I love looking at the changes my creative area has made over the years. I think I'm going to do a mini album of just it!
Photo 4 - This is a photo of all the clothes I bought myself (yes just myself) on a shopping spree with my best friend. It is cool to be able to look at which pieces I still have etc.
Photo 5 - Walking Shoes - I found the perfect pair of walking shoes and of course we all have to toss shoes after a few years.
Photo 6 - iPod - Well I still have it and it looks the same but it won't be long and iPods will be a thing of the past and our kids will look at it and say that looks wierd : )
Photo 7 - This photo is of an envelope of scrap goodies I got in the mail from a swap I was in.

Here is a link to the set of photo's I just uploaded to flicker to give you some ideas and inspirations. Now some of these came from different challenges where there was theme each day or more pet photography was allowed but maybe this will help those creative juices.

Sorry I believe you have to have a flicker account to see the photo examples. Looking for another option now!

Ok here is a link to my blog post.
This has a slide show of the journal for my photo journal a day and there is a 2nd slide show for just the photo a day.
Hopefully after this weekend I'll have better pics up in the photo journal a day slide show.

This is so fun. Where are we supposed to post ours? I blogged my first week here: said...

This is where you can post your link. I don't know about flicker but I know that in photobucket you can just keep adding and the link will show all of them at the end.

I played along with taking a photo every day. I've been posting them each Monday so I will have the last couple of days up tomorrow am.

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
