Father's Day Idea

Hello all - did you think I forgot about you? I didn't, I promise I could never forget about my great customers : )

Does your husband HATE wearing ties? Have your kids given Dad one hundred and one ties? Has your child never given their Dad a tie and you would like them too? Well here goes. The below template is something I picked up from an online crop I was participating in. Check out my idea for a mini book or card.

1. Print Template
You can either use/cut down an 8.5 x 11 and print the template on your chosen paper or you can print a template cut it out and use post it style glue to place on the paper you want to cut.

2. Cut

Here are some of the alterations I thought of or saw on the crop:

* You can have each child make their own and tie them together with ribbon.

* You can punch a hole in the knot of the tie and use a ring to make a mini book.

* Fold your paper in half before you cut out the template. Do not cut along the folded line where you want the card to bend.

* You can enlarge or reduce on a copier and make your gift the size you want.

Please overlook how bad these are. I literally threw this together in like 5 minutes after I failed at the other father's day idea I wanted to post.

This shows an example if you use a ring and make an album.

This is an example of individual cards tied with a ribbon.

Tie Template

*This template is actually a template for a tie box. I worked with it all afternoon and was unable to successfully make the box so that is why there are so many dashes and lines on this template.

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
