Design Team Member Spotlight: Janaina Oliveira
Where are you from?
Originally from Brazil, but now I live in New Jersey.

What is the name and link to your blog?
2 Worlds http://2worldswings.blogspot.com

What is your day job?
Right now it is being a mom, as my son is now 6 months old, but before I was working as a Administrative/Accounting Assistant.

What fad of scrapbooking did you never get into?
Doodling. I just can't do it. I'm not into very heavy embellished pages, too artsy. I think they are pretty, but that's not my objective on layouts. I leave my artsy side for digital scrapbooking or mini albums.

What do you feel is the biggest waste of time in scrapbooking?
When we think too much about " the perfect page" is a waste of time, what matters is to tell the story of your life.

What would you call your scrapbook style?
I don't know, but I like simple pages that concentrate more on the photo and journaling. Very few layouts of mine do not have journaling, just if I'm going to display them. I like to use few embellishments to give the right touch so it doesn't get too full of "stuff" on my page.

What item will we always find on your projects?
I think design paper and journaling blocks .

What sparks your creativity when you are scrapbooking?
The photo itself; the colors on it. I also like sketches if I am feeling few ideas. I always end up changing them completely, but they do help me sometimes to get started.

What is your favorite layout of all time and why?
I don't have just one, but this one in particular I love so much that I framed it in my house. I love it because it symbolizes that now we are family in my home. Me and my husband are together in this mission to raise this little boy and it makes me remember those first moments with him at home.

Have you ever wanted to be a guest designer?
Here is your opportunity! Apply by emailing photos of your best layout and project to hgturner@everythingscrappn.com by October 12th to become our November Guest Design Team Member. Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.

Do you have a quick recipe? email me hgturner@everythingscrappn.com
