Spotlight on Sweet Cakes & Earth Love

I have some new scraps to share with you today. I couldn't wait to scrapbook photo booth strips from my Birthday and Pink Paislee's Sweet Cakes line worked well with my great summer day. I love using up my last bit of scraps to make a fun quick page like this one. Before you clean up after your next project, see if you can throw something simple but sweet together with your left overs. I like to keep my product together in art bin organizers and envelopes for projects just like this.
I added Frosted Lace stickles for a little extra glitz.
Products used: Pink Paislee Sweet Cake cutie pie pp, Sweet Cake sweet nothings pp, Sweet Cakes collection-postcards, American Crafts Thickers Rockabye alphas-black, Pink Paislee Vintage Moon Accents Black rub ons, American Crafts Fashion Accents 2 multicolor sticker (cool), Fashion Accents 1 black sticker, Queen & Co. Black rhinestones, Stickles-Frosted Lace, Pink Paislee On Schedule clear stamps, Making Memories Passport clear stamps, Staz On Ink Jet Black.

I was so excited when Everything Scrapp'n got in the Earth Love line by Cosmo Cricket. I had fun layering lots of pretty paper. This line is great for making your own embellishments by cutting out the borders and shapes and then popping them up with pop dots. For a little extra definition, you can ink the edges, add some stickels, and outline with a thin felt tipped pen.Products used: Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Remember pp, Relive pp, Rethink pp, Earth Love borders pp, Jenni Bowlin memo book sheet, Hambly Photography rub ons-Black, American Crafts Darling alphas-Chestnut, Cats Eye Chalk-Chestnut Roan, Ice Blue, Yellow Citrus, Making Memories colored staples, Making Memories distresser, pop dots.

Please share your creations with the Sweet Cakes & Earth Love lines by leaving a link in the comments section. I'd love to see how you rocked them. Thanks for stopping by!

CHA Peaks

When I get a sneak peak of the new lines I'm going to do my best to pass them on to you. I would love to hear your feed back. Tell me if you like it or if you don't. Give me all the dirt!

Ok first things first there is a fun contest going on over at Cosmo Cricket
If you think you could make a good cutting edge video for them to advertise their CHA sneak peak go check it out. I didn't read all the details but you can win free stuff and that is always worth a little of your time.

Second Graphic 45 just sent me one picture of each of the lines that will be released in Orlando. Here they are - remember this is not the whole line just one paper or die cut sheet that gives you the best idea of the line.

The Domestic Goddess Collection is a playful celebration of women's traditional roles drawn from the days when they proudly wore aprons and vied for blue ribbons at the county fair. Designs featuring a rich mix of reds, yellows, blues, and greens, were inspired by vintage tea towels, table linens, food labels, and images of cooking, sewing, laundry, and other household chores. For collage, paper crafting, cards and layouts, this collection is endlessly versatile, offering a smile and a nod to the Domestic Goddess in all of us.

The Renaissance Faire Collection is a sophisticated journey to the golden age of fabulous art, music, and literature. Designs combine famous paintings, architectural elements, opulent textiles, wallpaper, and old text to create images worthy of royalty. An antiqued jewel tone color palette adds to the elegance of the motifs and patterns. This beautiful collection is perfect for collage and paper crafting, holidays, weddings, special occasions, heritage projects, card making and more. Renaissance Faire offers a fresh approach to timeless treasures.

The Christmas Past Collection evokes memories of Grandma’s house, with the heady fragrance of gingerbread baking in the kitchen, a Christmas tree decked out in its holiday best, and carolers at the door. Angels, heirloom ornaments, Rudolph, Santa and the elves— they're all here, wrapped in a heartwarming color palette of red, green and gold with the patina of age. Holiday images seeped in Christmas Past—a terrific way to share and celebrate Christmas Present.

And last the above collection will be released in paper packs that will include the die cut sheet. So let me know if you would rather see paper packs than individual papers. Also I'm leaning towards "The Christmas Past Collection" & "The Domestic Goddess Collection" so give me your feed back so I know if I've made the right choice!

Hope you don't get blog info overload!

Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel line

I fell in love with Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel line the moment I saw it at Everything Scrapp'n. I have been meaning to scrapbook my photos from my Kauai trip in 2003 since I began scrapbooking in 2006. This paper was just perfect for my photos. If you have any summer photos you've been waiting to scrap, this paper is for you! And I love how distressed it already is. You don't have to do much to it and it just looks incredible.

Jolie Chocolat & Wanted Layouts

Don't pass out I made time for scrapbooking today!  I cleaned off my desk today and the pictures that were printed for me to scrap were the Rodeo I took my kids to February of last year (I'm even more behind than that).  The first thing I thought of was Cosmo Cricket's Wanted line and Creative Imagination's Cowgirl/Cowboy line.  After looking at them both I'm going to save the Creative Imagination one for riding a horse in Texas.  Ok so I used Doc Holiday, Slue Foot Sue, Strip Tease, Calamity Jane, Journaling Cards, & Stickers.  Again all from the Wanted Line by Cosmo Cricket.  Click the title to this blog to go to the store to look (still can't make links sorry)
Now this second layout is what I do at the end of each month, I take all the extra/misc pic and do a summary.  When I started this year I decided to scrap no more than a two page layout of each event.  So far that is what I have stuck to.  Ok for this I decided to use the Jolie Chocolat.  We don't do a whole lot on valentines so I wanted to show the other things you can do with this paper.  I used the Papillio and Nougat paper, I added a Hambly overlay, Jolie Chocoat buttons and rub-ons.  Hope you enjoy.

Scrapbooking Recipes

With the holidays coming so fast we need more hours in our day. One way I've found to help is quick and easy meals. Here is one that I love to use when I have a full day.

Lazy Log Cabin Casserole:

1lb stew meat cubed
1 can of Cream of Celery
1 can of Cram of Mushroom
1 packet of Beef Onion Soup (I don't use this. I just add salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried minced onions but I'm an eye ball cook)
Toss all this in the crock pot together give it a stir put it on low and cook it for 6 - 8 hours. Home cooked meal with just a few moments prep. Put a salad bag with it and your hubby can't be upset that there isn't a home cooked meal on the table.
